At Halsys we are always trying to find new ways to help speed up your production and save you time and money. This can be done with MaxLab and face detection.
All businesses want quicker and more accurate results. One of the most time consuming jobs for a schools photography business is editing your photo shoot down to the best images.
Happy Score.
Ever wanted to quickly know which images have the best smiles? We at Halsys are in Beta testing to include a happy score for each image. Quickly and easily have your images rated for happiness. It can also be used for large companies, over the length of a season, to rate their photographers, find out which photographers create the most consistent ‘happy’ photos.

Blink Score.
Same as happy scores, having processed your images through face detection you will then have access to both blink and happy scores. Filter out images that don’t make the grade, just with a click of a button. Over the length of a season this can be used to evaluate your photographers, who gets the least blinks. A longer time period will give you more data so you can obtain more accurate results. This is in Beta testing at this time, but we are confident this will save time and money for photography businesses.

Glasses
We can also use the face detection to filter out other information, such as to filter down to all the students wearing glasses. This is helpful to quickly check for flair in glasses, for quick editing and retouching if required.
New improvements to come.
We already use face detection to help speed up the cropping process by cropping images relative to the face. We are looking at this process to make it more powerful and user friendly, so watch this space.
